It is our belief that God knows us all, and that he loves and cares about each and every one of us. Because of this, we should also love and care unconditionally about our neighbors. But, what happens when we don't really know our neighbors? Are we just speaking about a concept when we say that we do?

We are encouraging churches to pledge to knock on every door within a four to five block radius and get to know their neighbors - to truly know them, love them, and show them that you care and do not stand in judgement of your neighbor's condition or status. If we show that we care with our continued presence, we can help improve economic conditions, address social and racial justice injustices, and address violence in all its forms.

Join faith leaders and churches on the weekend of August 21-22, 2021, and knock on every door. Don't just hand your neighbor a piece of paper, but extend them your hand and heart. We CAN make a difference one door and one heart at a time.

Make your commitment today by visiting Thrivent's registration page. Sign-up by clicking “Attend This Project”. Enter your church’s name in the name fields. After you complete your 4-5 blocks, post a photo and a line or two about your experience! This will make your church eligible to receive a stipend to host a community gathering to further relationship building and continue to truly get to know your neighbors.
