Shame has had a lot of play in our cultural setting lately, and the pandemic has only exacerbated that reality. While there’s good reason to why that is, we still have so much to learn as to just how deep this thread goes in our everyday lives. Join us as acclaimed author and psychologist Curt Thompson gives not only a biblical foundation for how shame robustly impacts all of life but then also will explore ways shame has been ignored or even furthered in the church.

We won’t stop there. To equip pastors and leaders to be redemptive change agents in a world full of shame, Curt Thompson will share some practices pastors can embody to combat shame in their own lives while also tending to both the impact of shame on the church - gathered and scattered.
