Join pastors and faith leaders for the first of three sessions on effective community engagement. These sessions will give proven techniques for engaging the communities that surround your church. Community Engagement trainers will introduce you to the many facets of the "resilient spider web," taking participants from "not knowing what you are doing" to engaging the church and the community in a wholistic way.
The sessions will take place over three months, with the first being a classroom setting beginning on Saturday, January 22, 2022. The subsequent settings will be onsite at the church in its community environment. The final session will be a consultation and debriefing with the church and volunteers. Follow-up consultation will be available.
Register early for this Effective Community Engagement Cohort. The first session will be held at the WorkOne Center classroom located at the Y.H. Thomas Community Center in Hampton, VA on January 22, 2022 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. Lunch will be served.
