Bethany Baptist Church
Introduction
Bethany Baptist Church seeks to turn spiritually lost people into fully mature disciples of Christ. As a local church, we pursue this by 'Connecting our Community to Christ' through gospel witness, seeking to win the lost, build believers and equip workers. In 2023 we planted a daughter church in Salem, Peace Bible Church. Our current lead pastor, Dr. Tim Baker, has served Bethany for over 30 years.

Program overview
The Pastoral Residency is two-year mentoring residency designed to train and equip local church pastoral leaders. The residency program allows recent seminary graduates to experience the lessons of pastoral ministry one cannot learn in the classroom. Through a full-time two-year residency, the pastor will "learn by doing" the work of ministry alongside a team of experienced pastors and leaders. Through a variety of hands-on leadership experiences, the resident will be prepared to lead a church of his own upon completion of the residency program.
