The 15th-century Reformer, John Calvin, said, “Our hearts are a perpetual idol factory.” The fall of man has distorted our affections. We drool over and chase after other gods. While the idolatry of our work is not specifically mentioned in this book, we nonetheless learn how to diagnose if we have made our work the ultimate god.
