Pastors Lunch and Learn: Sunday Faith Meets Monday Work (Chattanooga)

November 14, 2019 @ 11:45 am - 1:15 pm EST
Feed, 201 West Main Street
Chattanooga, TN 37402 United States

Please join us for a complimentary lunch to connect with other local pastors and learn how we should begin the conversation related to integrating faith, work and economics.

This is the first step toward developing a network to help Chattanooga area pastors as they equip those in the pews and chairs to connect their faith with their work, and to serve as Christians in all areas of life, for the glory of God and the good of their neighbors.

Your hosts for this meeting will be William Ladd, Sr. Pastor of First Baptist Church; Drew McCallie, Associate Pastor of Hixson United Methodist Church; and Clark Taylor, founder, Chattanooga Institute for Faith and Work.

Every follower of Jesus has great capacity to change the world around us because of how God has created, redeemed and sustained us. Yet, so many end up aimlessly spending their lives without ever discovering the ministry of presence and the the ministry of productivity in ordinary living. With countless perspectives on what we choose to do with our lives, work that is truly transformative involves much more than simply leveraging our strengths, talent, ideas, resources, or influence.  God calls us to work that has worth.
