Faith and Work Unleashed (Twin Cities)

Presenters: Dr. Luke Bobo (Made To Flourish), Dr. Patrick Lai (Open USA), Dr. Bill Tibbetts (North Central University)
October 14 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm CDT
Cedar Valley Churrch, 8600 Bloomington Avenue S
Bloomington, MO 55425 United States

In order to see transformation in our communities and in our world, churches, marketplace professionals and students must begin to think about work and faith in strategic new ways. The interconnection of the two is a Biblical idea that holds the key to powerful and innovative expressions of the Kingdom of God at work in our world. To find out more about Faith and Work Unleashed, join us on Monday, October 14 at Cedar Valley Church in Bloomington.

Don't miss this unique opportunity to hear from thought leaders in the Business as Mission space and have the chance to interact in breakout sessions and panel discussions. Workshops and speakers for the evening include:

From the 925 Window to the 1040 Window - Dr. Patrick Lai, Open USA
This workshop will look at the practical ways to utilize your 9-to-5 expertise (job skills and experiences) in order to make a kingdom impact on those parts of the world where there is no church and no known believers (the 1040 window) without ever leaving your home. Whether you are a student, professional, or church leader, everyone has a part to play.
A Faith and Work Unleashed Church: An Inside Look - Dr. Luke Bobo, Made To Flourish
At Made to Flourish, we contend that a church that has truly unleashed a robust theology of faith and work will travel in four lanes or four integration areas. Those four integration areas are: the worship gathering, pastoral practice, spiritual formation/discipleship, and outreach/missions. We will explore these four integration areas together in this workshop.

The 4 Lies We Believe - Dr. Bill Tibbetts, North Central University
Together, lets unshackle the bondage that many Christian professionals experience when wrestling with understanding their kingdom purpose at work. An unapologetic approach to expose the lies that many Christians have about work will be countered by the clear truth that God communicates to us through His word. Whether you work as a barista, the owner of a company, a stay at home mother, or a pastor, you will find this workshop paramount.
