Introduction

John Perkins once commented– “People need two things: Jesus and a job.” How can the local church be a positive economic actor in the community? And why might this matter for the plausibility of the gospel? We might agree that faith should effect work. But how might faith impact economics? And what is the church’s role in making this connection?  Over the course of two (2) 90-minute sessions, Made to Flourish Executive Director Matt Rusten will walk us through four pillars of economic wisdom and how they can be applied in our local church contexts.
