Most people want their jobs to produce passion, not just a paycheck. For Christians, this search for meaningful employment goes even deeper, driven by the idea that God gives each person specific gifts to do … something. Finding that “something” can feel especially difficult in our rapidly changing world and workplaces.
The church has a huge opportunity to help people discern and live out their callings — which is why Barna has embarked on an initiative focused on vocation, beginning with Christians at Work. This new study, conducted in partnership with Abilene Christian University, explores how people experience a sense of purpose through their professional lives, with a close look at the Christians who appear to successfully integrate their faith and their work. Join us to hear new insights from this research and explore how pastors can provide more effective vocational discipleship for their congregations.
