Ronnie T. Mitchell
Ronnie T. Mitchell attended Tennessee State University (criminal justice), and later went on to acquire a degree in pastoral ministry from Emmanuel Bible College. Ronnie is a supervisor in the Property Standards Division of the Department of Codes and Building Safety in Nashville, where he has been employed for 31 years. He is also the senior pastor of New Livingstone Church where he has served for more than 36 years. Ronnie is the organizer of the Middle Tennessee Diversity Contractors Association (MTDCA), Community Development Corporation. This is a non-profit group organized to train, educate, and build capacity for disadvantaged contractors and businesses. Ronnie is the 2006 recipient of the R.H. Boyd-Minority Business Advocate of the Year Award. He is also a contributing writer for the Urban Leagues: State of Blacks in Middle Tennessee 2010 Report. Ronnie’s piece “How Soon Will It Be Too Late” provides compelling data and statistics regarding economic development translating into economic empowerment. Ronnie and his wife, Beverly, are lifelong residents of Nashville.
