Michael Beresford’s background as pastor, crisis responder, educator, counselor and trainer has equipped him for the instruction and coaching for which he is currently engaged. However, the greatest motivation that pushes him to challenge and educate fellow leaders, pastors, and caregivers is the advancement of God’s kingdom.
He is the executive pastor at High Point Church in Madison, Wisconsin. He also leads two bible studies at the Wisconsin State Capital, for staff and elected officials with Capitol Ministries. He is launching a workplace ministry in Madison and consults and coaches with Intentional Churches. This follows 22 years of pastoral ministry, Mike and his wife joined the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) team. Mike’s primary work at BGEA was to develop new ministries, including being a part of the foundational team that developed the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team and various marketplace ministries.
His college degrees are in christian education and biblical literature, as well as pastoral counseling. He is an instructor for the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF). Mike speaks to multiple and various gatherings of pastors and leaders, helping them to understand who they are and realize their capacity to keep doing what they do year after year.
Michael loves God and the local church and desires to see them share the Father’s heart in the communities they serve. He understands that God created man – his entire being – whether it is reflected in man’s relationships, work life, spheres of influence, and his local church. Mike strives to be whom God called and created him to be, while encouraging others to do the same and allow God’s Word to inform their every action and thought.
He is married to Estel, his companion and ministry mate for 39 years.
