Kimberly Deckel serves as the pastor of mission at All Souls, an Anglican Church Plant in Phoenix, Arizona. Kimberly’s role with All Souls focuses on forming and guiding the mission of All Souls and equipping congregants to be on mission for God in all of life. Additionally, Kimberly does operations for the Surge Network. Surge Network is a movement of local churches working to put Jesus on display in our cities. As a part of her work with Surge Network, Kimberly takes part in hosting a podcast called Faith, Work, and Rest.
Kimberly attended the University of Missouri where she obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in social work She is currently working on her M.A. in Missional Theology through The Missional Training Center through Covenant Seminary. Kimberly worked as a clinical social worker, providing therapy, support, and assessments in various settings for 12 years. Kimberly has served in ministry in various capacities, leading community groups, building a foster care ministry, and working with urban entrepreneurs in building their businesses.
Kimberly relocated to Phoenix in 2006 to escape the cold weather in Missouri. She has a heart for the city and for God’s people, especially those in the margins. Kimberly, her husband Steve, and their daughter, Keenan, enjoy music, food, art, and the outdoors. Kimberly and Steve are foster parents, so at times their family of three is a little larger.
