Charles Cheek currently serves as the Community Networking Director for the Peninsula Baptist Association (an association of 63 churches). Charles has been a radio talk show host, newspaper columnist, entrepreneur, community organizer, political consultant, served in several pastoral roles, and has also served in various government positions in Maryland, Virginia, and the federal government. He has studied at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, George Washington University, and has attended seminary at Liberty University and Lancaster Bible College.
Today, he continues the fight for economic and social justice in the Hampton Roads region where he co-facilitates a monthly pastors dialogue on racism, poverty and violence, facilitates a circle of reconciliation for mothers of murdered children, coordinates the Hampton Roads Jobs For Life Network, coordinates the Hampton Roads Christian Community Development Network, and is involved in numerous activities to empower the lost and the disenfranchised. He presently attends Memorial Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia, where he preaches, teaches, and counsels on matters of the gospel and the church.
